Compellis Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Developers of a new calcium channel blocker drug for weight reduction, Compellis needed a new site on which they could publish information—including press releases— about this new drug. Built on the Joomla content management system (CMS), the site was easy to build and implement in a minimal amount of time. It took approximately two weeks to launch this site. Needless to say, the client was thrilled because they had press releases set to run and needed the site done quickly but with quality.

Their core product is a millimeter wave camera capable of "seeing through walls". This type of technology is usefull in the construction industry for locating framing or other objects such as eletrical wiring within walls, or for security scanning at airports. Walleye Technologies is using this Joomla-based site to market its product to prospetive clients. The site features press releases and a FAQ section which slides down to reveal the content when clicked upon. It also provides a link to sign up to a Constant Contact mailing list.

MedExchange International, Inc.
Resellers of pre-owned medical imaging equipment, MedExchange International needed a product catalog site to showcase their impressive inventory of high-quality equipment. This Joomla-based site is centered on the VirtueMart shopping cart cart system, set to catalog mode. It features numerous modules that take product information and displays it dynamically in various ways. Some examples are newest items, products by manufacturer, browsing through product type categories, or featured products within categories. MedExchange staff have been trained to update the site, including adding new products themselves. They also learned how to send email newsletters by using the installed Acajoom Newsletter system.

Bed & Breakfast Touring
Also built in Joomla!, this is an online bicycle-friendly bed & breakfast inn directory and e-magazine about credit card bicycle touring. The client was looking for a visually rich looking portal site for displaying their articles about this special type of bicycle touring which involves staying at inns instead of camping, and eating at restaurants along the way instead of cooking.

The site uses the Mosets Tree component for the directory of inns and the Jom Social component for managing the social media activities of registered users. Ads are served to the site using the OpenX Adserver.

Villa Vista Linda
The owners of Villa Vista Linda were looking for a distinctive design that captured the ambience of this amazingly beautiful vacation estate. A photographer and I travelled to Vieques Island, Puerto Rico for a 3-day photo shoot, capturing a multitude of images of the property and of parts of the island.

The site design applies the concept of bringing the visitor into the world of the villa by using large images. Key information types can be accessed via multiple pathways at different levels of emphasis in the interface design, guiding them to decision points.

Sonya Gureswitch
Fine artist Sonya Gureswitch was looking for an extremely clean and simple site to showcase her abstract paintings. This site features a Flash-based art viewer called Simple Viewer that is easy to set up and comes with a browser-based method for the artist's assistant to use to add new art work. The home page has keywords placed at the bottom in a graphic style to help with search engine indexing of what is basically a plain white page devoid of text.

Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, NC
This site was built on the Joomla CMS by Elizabeth Gadwa of DCS Creative. I provided the backend development services for the donation page integrating and customizing the Donation component sold by Fatica.net. This included the creating custom fields for the form, testing, and creation of a method for the site admin to download recent donator information to CSV format for import into their proprietary desktop CRM system. I also handled the integration and testing of the payment processing system.
