Kimo designs and builds Web sites while performing tasks ranging from relational database design, MySQL database adminstration, installation and configuration of open-source software applications, to the creation of all site art assets including advanced image editing in graphics applications like Fireworks, Illustrator or Photoshop, or the preparation of sound files for podcasts and Quicktime video or VR media files for Web use.

Working in Dreamweaver and BBEdit, Kimo has built sites from the ground up or revamped existing sites for clients seeking improvements. These sites have been in both basic HTML and in PHP, accessing MySQL database information and displaying it dynamically.

As the former New Media Director for Robert A. Becker, Inc., Euro RSCG (now Euro RSCG Life), Kimo spearheaded the development of their interactive division eBecker, supervising Web teams in the development of client projects, and the development of digital interactive new business presentations, in Powerpoint and Flash.

In addition to custom development, Kimo is an active member of the open source software community, having implemented open-source solutions in projects, most notably the Joomla! open source content management system, which has a global following and is a system well suited to business and organizational sites because of the wide variety of components, modules, and plug-ins available. These modules and other components add features to the core system, such as cCommerce Shopping Carts, HTML email newsletters, message board forums, online support centers, photo galleries, event calendars and hundreds more.
